My girlfriend from college came to visit this past Easter weekend. It is always wonderful to spend time with her (a power visit) and show her around our wonderful Waupaca area.
I was happy to hear that after being closed for a few months over the winter, that the Freckled Frogg ~Garden Cafe and Bistro had its opening weekend for the season. She said, "What's a Freckled Frogg"?!
This quaint, adorable restaurant is fun to see, as the interior and gardens always have new collections of eclectic frogs (& much more!). It also boasts wonderful food~~~better termed creations! Sandi, the personable owner and "chef-artist" uses the freshest ingredients, much of which is organic, locally grown, or from her own garden. Ample portions come to you in an artful creation that is almost to beautiful to eat! I always get the salads, however, quiche, sandwiches and soups are also available.
