"The older I get the more I realize how important my girlfriends are"...
The first general rule for friendship is to be a friend, to be open, natural, interested; the second rule is to take time for friendship.
A game of chess in front of the fireplace, sharing recipes, helping to pick out fabric samples~~~just being together!!
A brisk but beautiful November autumn morning. Lets have our coffee on the covered porch before breakfast is served. We still haven't caught up on all the stories!
"Because we don't want to get out of our pajama's for one whole day! And we may even do the unheard of ...nap in the afternoon...just because we can! After breakfast, I am going to read and do some scrapbooking. OK, then I might go for a walk down by the river--can I leave my robe on?"
It's all about the robes!! Lets all get comfy in the Orchard Room--the popcorn is being popped and the chick-flick is ready on the big screen TV--laughter and tears--it better be a good movie!
A good cup of coffee and good conversation, shopping, reading, a movie, a nap, chocolate, talking, listening, girl stuff...

"A true friend gives freely, advises justly, assists readily, adventures boldly, takes all patiently, defends courageoulsy, and continues a friend unchangeably" ~~William Penn
"A friend is one who comes in when the whole world has gone out".
To laugh, to share, for advice, for support, to counsel, for assistance, for fun, to be silly, to teach, to play, bike, hike, ski, to talk, and talk and talk... Here is to our girlfriends!

Temporary or real tatooes?! Only the Innkeeper knows for sure?! "It is my joy in life to find, at every turning of the road, the strong arm of a comrade kind, to help me onward with my load. And since I have no gold to give, and love alone must make amends, my only prayer is, while I live--God make me worthy of my friends." ~~Frank Demster Sherman
